Getting Started with Owings Mills Maryland Pool Demolition

To begin the demolition process of pool removal, simply request an estimate. Your estimate request can be made online or over the phone. Once you’ve made your request, a time will be set-up for you to meet with one of our pool demolition experts so you can find out the cost of services, learn more, and ask questions. Following the estimate, our team will move forward to obtain the necessary permit required to perform demolition, and we’ll then set a date to begin.

Demolition Begins

Now that we’re ready to get started with the safe and efficient removal of your old pool, we’ll need to first drain the pool if there’s any remaining water. No water – then let demolition begin. When we’re ready to begin demolishing the pool, the technique is the same for both methods our company performs when removing pools with the exception of the amount of debris that’s removed.

Using state-of-the-art machinery, we’ll break apart the pool and either remove, half of the pool or the entire pool. If we remove half of the pool, this is known as the abandonment method. If we remove the entire pool, this is known as the exhumation method. While both methods are efficient, the abandonment method tends to be the preferred method due to its cost-effectiveness for those on a budget.

Following the demolition of the pool, we’ll need to fill in the area. The area is filled in very carefully, using a professional mix of dirt and rocks. When filling in an old pool, care is taken to avoid “settling.” After the careful fill-in if the area, we begin the next step of demolition.

Debris Removal and Grass

Once we’ve completed the demolition of your old pool, we begin the debris removal process. The debris is loaded into a big truck and taken away to a facility where it will later be recycled. Following the complete clean-up of your property, upon request we’ll plant grass seed. Grass seed is an additional service with its own separate charge.
